Have you ever -

... tried to imagine if man had not accepted sin into his life how unbelievable -

magnificent, super, awesome, breathtaking, unimaginably, un-designable by man, beautiful the garden of Eden would be.

In our fondest, most creative place in our mind we can't imagine it's beauty.

Wow, what a shame we messed that up.

  1. What a shame, indeed.

You know, God created within us a desire, a need, for beauty. Yes, we define it differently. But we all need some beauty in our lives to keep us going beyond the ugliness that tries to gobble us up.

Beauty for our eyes to enjoy. Beauty for our ears to escape from the noise of life. Beauty for our tongues to experience and our noses to inhale. Beauty for our hearts and emotions to bask in.

Beauty is healing, you know. Beauty gives us a teeny-tiny peek not only into that Garden in Eden, but into God's eternal garden in heaven.

    Love you,
    Jean

  3. The way I see it, there is a little bit of Eden in everything if you only take the time and look.
As for the the messing up, too bad we keep doing it. :)
