When The Burdens Become Like Blessings

When things that can torment, aggravate and annoy you feel like a "smile" in your day you know that you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior. When you come to know Him and decide to live for Him, He turns your heart so that those annoying things can feel like a smile or a task He handed you and you feel grateful that He trust's you, and it is a pleasure to be 'so burdened'.

God can take the 'grouchy' out of your mornings, the 'worn-out' away from your evenings and the 'sleeplessness' out of your nights. He can!

When life hands you lemons, yep, God can turn that into sweet lemon-aid.

I'm not saying that everything bitter suddenly becomes sweet, but you learn to see things differently through God's heart.

I remember times like well, being so annoyed at having to give someone a ride because I had worked all day or feeling awkward when meeting strangers. I can think of times like someone approaching my door and me thinking Oh goodness what do they want now? Arrrrgh! Things that really feel like a burden when your heart isn't in the right place. Do you know what I mean?

Now I am so grateful to God to have a car and the opportunity to give someone a ride I am just joyous about it. It feels like a blessing. And meeting a stranger isn't awkward it's a blessing. They usually have a kind word to offer you or maybe a need that God is going to use you to fill. Now I honestly feel like "thank You Lord that you sent someone to my door knowing You could trust me to do Your will and help them"

I don't know how to explain how it changes or how fast or slow, that must depend on each of us. How willing we are. But isn't it wonderful to feel blessed every day all day instead of burdend! And do you know that the circumstances are the same - the only thing that has changed is ME.

Gee, I guess the choice to feel glad everyday or sad is really up to me (and you)!

    Have you read this before?

    Attitude
by Charles SwindollThe longer I live,
the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

Attitude to me is more important than the past,
    than education,
    than money,
    than circumstances,
    than failures,
    than success,
than what other people think, or say, or do.

It is more important than appearance,
    giftedness, or skill.
It will make or break an organization,
    a school, a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday
regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.

    We cannot change our past..
We cannot change the fact that people will
    act in a certain way.
    We cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do
is play on the one string we have,
    and that is our attitude….

I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me
and 90% how I react to it.

And so it is with you…..

    Love you,
    Jean
