My Quest!

...to leave "I" out of so many of my sentences.

I have discovered (change that to: You have brought it to my attention) that the word "I" occurs to often in my writing. You Lord are preparing me for a new lesson, I can feel it and am ready to listen.

In following this quest it seems clear to me that there is a need for me to go back to basics here, not writing etiquette basics but Bible etiquette basics, hmmm is there such a thing Jesus? Here we go - me with question after question and You supplying answer after answer! We make a good team Lord when I stay in line!

BibleGateway is a site I often visit. My sister J introduced me to it when God laid it on my heart that "I" was using her too much for my research, I needed to learn to stand on His two legs not hers (and here's betting she was glad for that).

My first thought now is shifting from I-about me to I-about God. I looked in biblegateway to see all the "I Am's" in God Holy Word. I found 699 scriptures, 63 I used to make this list from that are references made by God and Christ to them selves. I am going to list them (can't stop myself). Bare with me, I enjoyed reading every one of these.

...I am The Bright and Morning Star

I believe the Holy Spirit was using my over usage of the word "I" to bring me to here, to find all these wonderful and magnificent verses with all of the powerful and beautiful references to where God tells us all, what He is, what He gives, what He represents.

What a powerful morning this is for me, just powerful. I pray you feel His power too!
I think I will be reading this list again and again - It feels good!
