I'm Asking of My Friends!

I've really been led here today to talk about something that's been heavily on my heart for a while now and I'm going to ask something of each of you.

There is so much buzz on the net and the street recently about, of course, our economy and how hard this year has been as well as years past. But this year seems to be 'heavier' for a lot of people. For some reason millions of misguided Americans believed that "Obama" was actually going to bring about that mighty word he used for his election, CHANGE.

The changes we need can only come from our great leader, God. The let down has been so difficult for so many people that this miraculous CHANGE hasn't happened.

Where am I going with this? OK, I see around me and I read on the net how sad and broken people feel - the desperation that is growing steadfastly.

My dear sweet friend R said recently "I want me, you, Miss Rosie to make food" what? "I want you help me, we make food for all" I will gladly help you R, make food for all, but who is all? She said "all my neighbor! Everyone tired, no job, sad". Now you should know that this sweetie has been through all the hard times everyone around here has and worse. She, with an open heart and through the grace of God, grew through all of that.

Her heart is so in touch with others that she strives daily to reach out and help someone else.

So I'm thinking maybe for Thanksgiving we are going to put together a dinner for "all" and R is going to make sure everyone has a feast. I don't know, maybe she means right now! (LOL) And that will be OK with me.

What this all brings to heart for me is how many are feeling sad, disappointed, and 'without' this year and it's different, how many are facing the lack of CHANGE reality, and how many need prayer for God to be able to reach them right now in this critical and vulnerable time.

The Holidays are a wonderful blessing for me but many, feel depression, loneliness, and great anxiety, many who don't know Christ or have slipped away from His plan for them. Many commit suicide and take family members lives, more will burglarize and hurt others trying to find fulfillment and relief from their desperation, in the wrong way . Many will suffer more emotionally and spiritually this year with the reality that everything has NOT "CHANGED" by the hands of Obama.

I am asking you to join me in praying specifically, daily for these people through the holidays, that they will accept a true awakening from God and they will see who is our true Savior, that they will place their faith in God not any earthly man. That the elevated number of suicides, murders, and infringements on others, which the Holidays bring, will cease.

Father may your Faith be more received than ever through this Holiday Season, may the truth be evident to all, may we stand together in prayer and in actions, may we be ready not angry or judgmental, may we be willing to be used over and over again by You, may we all through You, glow with the Glory of Your Son our Savior and Lord at the celebration of His birth. Father You are the Almighty Light that shines brightly, send the Holy Spirit to cover and stand with arms wide open, between these people and the darkness that comes as the reality approaches them. Seize the moment Lord and guide us to seize every opportunity. We are Christians, we are your children, we are soldiers, make us ready for this battle. Make the others ready to hear You. Bring about CHANGE.

Amen

  1. I can say, Amen! to your prayer, Miawa.

The greatest change ever happens when a person surrenders his or her life (and will) to the Lord Jesus.

Wouldn't it be an incredible Christmas gift if all those people we love and pray for would give their hearts to Christ this Holy Season?

    Love you,
    Jean

  2. I believe what we need is revival. (1 Peter 4:17-18 KJV) "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?" Witness and pray for the salvation of their souls and God will take care of their bodies. (Psalms 37:25 KJV) "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread."

    Your compassion is praiseworthy!
