Back to that Family Love...P4

...and priorities

I'm back again and thinking about what Gale said "Charity" ("Agape" [to love] being the Greek.) The Holy Bible uses the word charity in many places. Having charity in your heart means you live by love, kindness, goodness, having integrity, character, honesty, and good thoughts of the heart, thus producing the fruit of the spirit.

Remember: "Smiths Bible Dictionary reads, LOVE: A natural affection. Also spiritual affection for holy things, which is a fruit of the spirit."

The Holy Word tells us in 1 Corinthians ch8 .....Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. Edify, per Webster is "to benefit and enlighten morally or spiritually". Hm! I could stand to receive and give a lot more of that in these human to human relationships I'm searching about.

I don't know about y'all but I feel like I am loving all the time and giving but then at the end of the day when I take inventory while praying, God gently reminds me that today - you were cross with your grandchild unnecessarily, today you acted like all was ok but in your heart you were really angry at your Mother, today you gave someone a ride with a friendly smile but in your heart you begrudged getting out their and doing it. Today you performed dutifully and listened to your neighbor but without opening your heart to her - all those things meant nothing to me, they were worthless because they weren't done with charity in your heart.

It was 6,000 years in the making, our Holy Bible, 6000 years of You Father LOVING every person on earth. 6,000 years of teaching us to be charitable by commandments, parables and example, having everything recorded by Your chosen ones. If we are charitable we don't steal and hurt people, we don't lie and hurt people, we don't bruise their body or soul and hurt them, we don't pass them by when in need, we don't worship any God but You, we don't cheat on our spouses, we don't ignore our neighbor, or neglect our children - all of the right choices stem from one thing "Love".

So be it a neighbor, stranger, co-worker or a family member it doesn't matter, there is no difference. What we are commanded by God to give, is love, whatever the situation or opportunity I think it makes no difference, it's the same love on the same level for every one of Your children Father. Charity (to love) encompasses every thing we are to be, to give and to receive. It's behind every word in Your scripture and every commandment You gave. If we truly love from our hearts - we will choose to follow God's commandments.

So I ask again "WHY do you put up with me?" Yep I know, it's because no matter what I am, You are capable of loving me! Thank You Lord Jesus and Amen

1 Corinthians is the 2nd letter of the Iggerot (the 21 letters) specifically from the Sha'ul Iggerot Hashaliach (13 of those letters) -Romans through Philemon written by Paul (Sha'ul), "letters of the messenger Paul to the Gentiles", in the Tanakh (the Hebrew Bible)

Galatians 5:22-25 (King James Version)

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
