Everyone is getting ready

Valentine Day is just around the corner, as always February 14 and here it is the 8th already.

The holiday designed for you to express your love - openly and usually flamboyantly.

Love is any of a number of emotions related to a sense of strong affection[1] and attachment. (from Wikipedia.com)

Mark 12:30
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

strong affection and attachment, just doesn't sound like enough does it? Of course that's our definition of love. Our Fathers is so much more, so complete, encompassing, unfailing and eternal.

Psalm 23

1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

That's love!

  1. As I read this a song popped into my head:

    Love lifted me.
    Love lifted me.
    When nothing else could help,
    Love lifted me.

Only the love of Jesus can lift us out of our bondage to sin, out of our selfish lifestyles.

Thank you, Lord, for loving me.
