Thanksgiving Eve

Last night, the eve of Thanksgiving my mother and I went to my daughters house to get ready for the big day. Before you knew it we are all bathed, in pj's, snacking on pizza and just cutting up while doing laundry. Can you have fun doing laundry? Yes when you have 3 nut cases doing it together! I couldn't refrain myself I heard me shout "pajama party". Next thing you know I had the camera out and her oldest son A taking pictures of us.

And guess who provided the laughs as well as the finale? Yes, me.

20 minutes earlier I had taken an over the counter pill for leg cramps with quinine in it, I took quinine as a child so I thought nothing of it. Yeaaaaaah! big mistake, huge mistake.

I started itching gently and they started laughing and as I itched harder and faster they laughed harder and faster. It got so out of control and intense I thought I had a case of terminal itchy and wasn't going to make it through the night. I should mention here that as my itch got more out of control and more intense so did their laughter (LOL) Yeah you can imagine how funny this was to me as they are almost rolling in the floor.

My daughter T sent her son A to get some benadryl and after taking two pills in roughly 10 minutes it began to back off and of course put me to sleep - night night everybody!

It was one of those moments (ha! I wish) that you would like to freeze in your minds eye and save for the days when you need a laugh again.

When we got up this morning I asked them to tell me what they are thankful for on this Thanksgiving day 2008 and we shared that too. This has been a terrific holiday THANK YOU SO MUCH JESUS, SO MUCH I feel tears building and just want to always remember this terrific Thanksgiving Eve.

My mother, very simply said "4 daughters who are all still living", and I want to wish all a happy thanksgiving.

My daughter T , The sun is out and there is no hurricane today (LOL), my boys, my dog Pepper who brings me a lot of joy, I have a job when so many don't, I still live in a free country for the moment, still have a house with so many others losing their homes every day, I work with a great group of people in a large company that reaches out to others in need in this community. A is starting to show maturity, J handles his school work his self and I don't have that burden anymore, J is involved in baseball in the community instead of other things.

And me, I am thankful Father for this wonderful little party and a picture of it, for my salvation, my family being still here (bless You Father for giving them more time). I am so grateful for my life, home, love, sisters, mother, neighbors, and for you placing us in an area where we have all that we need at hand. I am so grateful for benadryl (you know I had to go there Lord), for blogs where we can be so close at hand when so far away, my little friend K she is so special Lord, all the ladies at all the sites I thank you for opening me up to communicating with so many people, maybe one day I will actually do it in real time, maybe not! and maybe that is OK with You.

I knew somehow that these 2008 holidays were going to be special, You told me didn't You Lord, and this Thanksgiving day could not possibly be any better than the wonderful Thanksgiving Eve we three shared.

Thank You for the great meal we will have today, keep us safe as we travel and bring us back home safely. There are so many things Lord just accept my deepest and most humble and appreciative THANK YOU and Amen
